100% Recycled Materials
All Selk’bag products are made using 100% recycled fabrics and insulation.
This includes recycled polyester and recycled synthetic insulation sourced from post-consumer and post-industrial waste streams.
By choosing recycled materials, we aim to:

PFAS-Free Commitment
Selk’bag does not intentionally add PFAS to any of our products.
PFAS, also known as per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are sometimes used in textiles to create water- and stain-resistant finishes. These chemicals are often referred to as “forever chemicals” because they do not easily break down in the environment.
We work with suppliers that provide PFAS-free materials and finishes, including PFAS-free durable water repellent treatments when water resistance is required.
Our goal is clear:
High performance. Zero intentional PFAS.
What are PFAS?
PFAS are a group of synthetic chemicals often used to make fabrics water- or stain-resistant. They are often called “forever chemicals” because they do not easily break down in the environment.
Historically, PFAS have been used in outdoor gear for durable water repellent (DWR) finishes.
But performance should never come at the expense of long-term environmental and human health.

We require our manufacturing partners to comply with international chemical safety standards and regulations.
